Fernando Pessoa, one of the greatest Portuguese thinkers and writers, is constant theme of inspiration to modern artists and intellectuals.

Há Arte no Giraldo will present till April 24, a series of works by several contemporary artists on this infinite theme.

The exhibition can be visited from 10:00 to 13:00 h, and from 15:00 to 19:00 h, tuesdays to fridays, and from 10:00 to 13:00 h, saturdays.

António Latino Tavares
Watercolours and Drawings

 

 

 

ANTÓNIO LATINO TAVARES was born in Lisbon in 1943.

A graduate from the Lisbon School of Arquitecture, Tavares was Assistant Professor. As arquitect, he developed a vast curriculum in the area of private housing as well as in that of historic building rehabilitation.

Drawing used to be encouraged in Architecture schools as basis of the language of projects, and the students often became fascinated by its technique. Works displayed are detailed drawings that serve as basis to watercolours, reflecting the way the author sees and feels Portuguese built heritage.
